JIM L, I owned CIEN at 12 several years back, the founder of CIEN is Dr. Huber, he left CIENA and started CORVIS, the only ALL OPTICAL SWITCH in the market. CSCO owns appox 20%-30% of CORV, they tried to buy before it went public but DR. Huber said no way. Now my opinion going forward telecoms want next generation network and ONLY CORVIS supplies a switch that goes 4000KG without any regeneration!!!( the optical signal!!) Research who owns CORV and why, this company is a PURE PLAY that in the coming years will become a household name-----like NT!! or LU!!
