Charter cash flow up, faster cable growth seen By Derek Caney Thursday February 15, 4:41 pm Eastern Time NEW YORK, Feb 15 (Reuters) - No. 4 U.S. cable TV company Charter Communications Inc. (NasdaqNM:CHTR - news) on Thursday reported a nearly 30 percent rise in fourth-quarter cash flow, a widely watched indicator for media companies, saying it expects faster growth at its cable business this year. ....... Charter said it also expects basic customer growth to exceed 2 percent in 2001, compared with 2.5 percent growth in 2000. It expects to end 2001 with 2 million digital cable customers, compared with 1.1 million a year earlier. Digital cable allows cable television signals to be compressed allowing more channels.
