Howdy River Rat.

I used to go white water rafting a lot in the good ol' days.
A group of friends and my brothers would head up to the Delaware Water Gap to go down the rapids.
Ususally we would go on Memorial Day Weekend.

We would bring 50 cases of beer, a package of hotdogs, and a bag of charcoal and camp out.

There was a few good rapids and the rest was slow moving. It would take us the better half of the day to get all the way down to where the campground was.

We sure had fun going down the river. We would even wrap a radio on plastic garbage backs and bring along tunes as we floated along.

Eventually we would tie all the rafts together and get others to join in. Then this huge floatilla of a party would eventually make it back to the campground where the fun would usually last until the wee hours of the morning...

I was usually the first one awake so I'd begin cooking breakfast for everyone.
Bacon and eggs cooked over a wood fire. The frying pan would never survive the trip...

Sure burnt a lot of brain cells on those trips.
