It seems to me that after NT today, almost everybody major that is involved in the broadband-semi/optical market has spoken and gotten out the most negative statement they can.

Therefore, it seems like a good tome to position myself for the rest of the year. Below is a list of how I see the businesses. What do you think?

The only guys I don't know what to do with are PMCS, JDSU and BRCM

Growth Winners:
AMCC
JNPR
CIEN

Flat Growth:
GLW

Losers:
NT
CSCO
LU

FRI, Excellent observations!
To the growth winners, I would add Sycamore and also JDSU.
The theme is pretty straight forward, the great the emphasis on optical, the better the prospects for the companies. The smaller optical companies are gaining while
I would also add JDSU to the list for the following reason..Companies like Ciena have less internal component production capabilites while NT make produce a lot of their own components. If Ciena gets more and more business, they will be buying their components from JDSU, not NT or LU. This trend towards smaller companies getting more optical business is excellent for JDSU. In addition, it puts on hold the expansion plans on the part of NT...meaning JDSU becomes the low cost producer to supply all customers while NT scales back.
Same applies to GLW but it is a slower grower.

I am staying away from PMCS because of its connection to Cisco and the fact that they are weak in optical chips. N idea on BRCM.
