NBC, which is cutting 10 percent of its total work force, took the axe to CNBC on Thursday. Nineteen of the employees came from the television side while another 26 were out of CNBC.com. The reduction leaves the financial news cable channel and Web site with a staff of 500. NBC has been handing out pink slips across all its divisions in recent weeks in response to the sluggish television ad market.
