I'm amazed how negative everone is. My experience is that when everyone thinks things are down is when they are actually about to get better. I am still having lots of trouble filling my open positions. Salaries are way up. This is even though two large companies that last year employed 14% of the people in my city laid off 2% of the people in the city -- and a large fraction were highly trained people. In fact, the city grew so many new companies that unemployment actually went down. Yeah, there are some hard times but they are softer than is being said here -- at least that is my take on the economy.
