I should have checked the Anglogold website before I asked my questions. A review of 1999 projects
listed, "areas with high prosectivity that will receive particular attention are the Andean regions in South America,
Nevada in North America and Tanzania in East Aftrica".

They go on to report areas where they will be concentrating their efforts in 2001. They list Tanzania, Congo,
Brazil, Peru, and finally a joint venture in Ecuador.

Unless I missed something I think that says it all.
