I can't attest to what was done in the early 1900's but in my lifetime it is the Democrats that were the champions of equal rights. Wasn't it during the Johnson administration that the equal rights amendments were passed?........I remember Martin Luther King and the Kennedy brothers as people who fought for and initiated equal rights in schools, Universities, etc. It was L.B.J. that got that legislation passed and signed by the executive branch after Kennedy was shot. Remember Memphis and Little Rock??????

Republicans have aligned themselves with the Arian Nation in Idaho and the David Dukes of this world. The people who inhabit northern Idaho are Republicans.......remember Ruby Ridge????? Nazi's... A few years ago I went up through the Idaho panhandle and had breakfast in a place called Bonner's Ferry. The parking lot was full of dirty trucks with rottweiler's sitting in the truck beds. When we walked in to the restaurant the whole place went quiet!!!! LOL We were tempted to hold up a sign labeled " Not FBI" LOL These people were not Democrats!!!!!!!! A Democrat would be kick back drinking coffee and talking about an art exhibit down in Sandpoint ( which is a beautiful town by a gorgeous lake).
