Of course, as before, I was talking about his lying about it. It was a telling sign about his character that he spent more time speculating about the politics and blaming Gore and the media for bringing the issue up. I thought his complaining about "gotcha" politics was poetic justice... Besides the party affliliation of the guy that dug up the info, did they find any connection with the Gore campaign? I didn't think so.

The only figures that I have found indicate that at the first of September they were roughly even, and Smirk had run a whole flock of ads before the debates. Maybe he got them free, I dunno.
