I have been reading his commentary in the Currencies thread, a thread that I follow and respect a lot, (just like this one), along with John Pitera's and a few others.
A lot of good substance in these threads without the attacks (what difference !!)
Anyway... yes, I believe he does know his stuff...
I remember clicking on his profile once. I believe he has a firm that holds a number of patents in addition to help other inventors go through the process of "patenting" ideas/inventions.
I have not followed him closely, other than reading his posts in the Currencies... perhaps I should do some more reading of his posts.
I try NOT to follow a specfic poster or a specific "whatever" since I believe that each of us has a "trading personality" (I mean to say... trading is a very personal endeavor), hence one MUST develop one's own style.
what i try to do is gather information from several sources that after due consideration I learn to respect .... from there I process it all and execute as I go.
Zeev may be one of those sources, i will pay more attention to what he writes.
I believe in a lot of "psychological sentiment" (please do not ask me to define it --i can not). It is a "feel" and although it may sound crazy... all i can say in its support is that I have done particularly well for the last 2.5 years... if I lose such "feel" (which I do from time to time), I step back and NOT trade for a while...
I am sure you have heard the expression "fly by the seat of your pants" ? believe me it works.
Now... do not misunderstand me... I do look at charts and those guide me as well... but it is not a "pure science" and no, it is not error free... I have made plenty... (i.e. i hold 2 current short put positions, that although I wanted to own the stock, I could have waited .. say 3 or 4 days and I would have done a lot better. after today's expiration I will be the owner of two additional stocks -GGG-). Yes, I am familiar with the "repair" techniques... but in these 2 instances I wanted to own the stock as part of a long term "build" strategy.
Are futures limit down ? i thought limit down was - or + 95 in the NASCUAC |
