People are putting less of their 401k money into the stock of the companies they work for.
For the last 10 years, employees have routinely had large holdings of their employer’s stock in their retirement portfolios. With financial analysts recommending diversification, employees have cut their investment in their own companies, from a high of 35.2 % two years ago, to the current 30.2%...even with the drop, most financial planners will tell you not to have more than 15% of your portfolio in the stock of the company you work for.
