Interesting financial exercise. Assume that Ampex decided to redeem 1/2 the mandatory preferred instead of the minimum: Common shares would increase by 7,084,000; benefit of issuing 7,084,000 for 17,710,000 face value of preferred would be assuming an avg 50 cts mkt value of common 14,168,000. EPS for common holders would be 23 cts in the 4Q....food for thought
