Pravin,

"Intel having to jack up the supply voltage to get to 1.7 Ghz is very significant for AMD"

I know everyone here is quite excited about the news that Intel will increase the voltage to get even one speed grade ahead of its initial release. Yes, it may be very significant but I am just wondering: Didn't AMD when releasing the Thunderbird introduce different voltages for the lower speed and the higher speed parts? Applying the same logic couldn't it be argued that AMD was desperate with the Thunderbird right from the beginning?
