I have also talked periodically with cvr.

I've heard similar things about Len putting the pressure on to get that mine producing down in Mexico. I really am hoping that "any day now" is going to come true. It is unfortunate that the original October date is so far behind.

However, once this baby starts, the numbers in the original writeup are still valid except they may need adjustment for current gold prices and the fact that current ownership I think is 28%. Anybody know for sure?

I guess the reason delays in production have occurred is because Eckhart has been spending a considerable amount of time on the property they own with Kennikot (spelling?) and while he was on that other property one of the gold veins in the Santa Anita mine changed directions and forced them to await his return to decide in which direction to go with the mining.

Speaking of the Kennikot joint ownership thing, Kennikot's top brass have visited the property, are excited about it, and the talk is of a major copper sulfide deposit. What the arrangement is with cvr is unclear - I think I heard that the contract is set up so that Kennikot can develop the resource without necessarily informing cvr about what they have, the value of it, etc. as long as they maintain their payment schedule arrangements. The payment schedule is in the millions of dollars from what I understand. More study is needed on this.

The Carbonnea (?spelling) deal does sound interesting. 8 to 10 holes to be drilled starting next week. The financing to do this was all finished up last week. They are looking for zinc, lead, silver in this area. It is said that the geology is similar to the geology of the Sullivan Mine (of which I am not familar) which has been a very profitable discovery for the owner.

cvr feels that they will have a good feel about whether to be excited about the Carbonnea thing by just looking at the material coming out of the wholes. However, nothing official can be known until assays are done and confirmation is present.

Getting the mine going in Mexico is extremely important to me because I think that it being in production will help bring back a perception of credibility to the value that cvr holds potentially to investors. I was pleased yesterday to hear Tom actually say that they have a concern about how they are percieved and about increasing shareholder value. Let's hope things move.
