Art, Aus, Betty, Craig: many, many thanks for your valuable suggestions. Hate to admit it but I'm such a rookie that I didn't realize you could take a high quality (huge file) photo and then shrink it for e-mail purposes (but retain the higher resolution for making prints). Talk about having your cake and eating it too! Maybe there is something to all this high tech stuff :-) thanks again. mike
