CC: Please excuse me for butting in, but you can peruse comments on patent if you go search on SI and put in GIFT. I think the answer to your demographic question would be very interesting. One thing is for sure relative to our collective personalities: We are intelligent, full of nerve and loaded with guts yet rationally optimistic as we hope for the best yet understand we may lose. Look, relative to the # of lawyers in court, I think it bodes well for our side in some respects. Companies may have been wiser to join in collective defense with much fewer lawyers. Why do you think that they are using so many lawyers anyway? Do you think they might possibly need that many lawyers and more and they know it? Something to think about. You see if this was a jury trial and I was on the jury, I would think these companies were out to make a corpse out a little company who was only trying to become a big boy. All the while these big massive rich companies were making money and getting richer off of eData's technology patent. All those lawyers after the one Edata lawyer would probably make me think thatthese guys were terrified and out to destroy little Edata and you can believe it would be shame on them! There are people out there who would say that the ONLY reason companies would go to this expense is because they are unsure of their position. Now Fink is sitting there like the lone ranger. He must feel pretty comfortable since he is a large stockholder. Why doesn't he need 25 assistants? Ask any lawyer about negative jury perceptions or judge's perception (most will say it is worse than plague). Also it can be undetectable until it is too late. Personally, I don't have a problem if they bring a thousand as, it won't change the patent BUT it will make for a lot of conversations on Wall Street in my opinion. The above comments are my opinion.
