As I understand it, Ciena has one primary technology, which happens to be a very powerful one. They offer the ability to expand bandwidth in an optical fiber by the WDM technique. Do they own all key patents for this technology? Is there a good reason not to believe that they will improve the technology to offer 32x, 64x, etc.? i/e/, any one with technical knowledge of the bandwidth limit for this technique? One again, who competes with them? Randy
