keep in mind that this is probably measured in bytes. ntap's per-byte asp keeps dropping, as is always the case in the storage industry.

while i think ntap's prospects are very bright, i don't think that can be deduced just from the fact that storage needs are increasing. (similarly, it's undeniable that needs for disk drives are increasing -- but you'd be crazy to invest in something like seagate)

i think the key to ntap's success will be, as ds outlined, the need for end to end, software-rich solutions, not just raw bytes of storage.
