Well, I think the PC slump is worse than AMD anticipated in their guidance so I expect AMD may warn in a few weeks. I sold all my calls (Apr 15's and Feb 22.5's) at market on the open and covered the Feb 25's for 0.05 near the close. I used the proceeds to short TMTA at 32 3/8. I also bought more Intel April 35 puts at 3 1/8.

Intel was benefitting today from two things - expiring Feb 35 puts pulling it towards 35 but mostly from clueless people selling their NT and buying a "safe" big-cap tech. This shell game of moving the big money from one big-cap tech to another has been going on a long time, but each time some of the money leaks out. There's a lot of this money under the Intel shell and I expect a lot will "leak out" when AMD starts selling 900 MHz and 1 GHz notebooks. But I'm not sure which will happen first -- AMD warning or AMD high end notebook chips, so I elected to play the short side on INTC and TMTA while avoiding AMD calls for now, but holding on to the stock.
