Meat, your reply to rudedog concerning the layoffs and the security was interesting. At first I agreed with you, but then I reversed. Security was blown with the rumors. The amount of information that has left Dell in the days since the rumor was started is probably staggering. Who put out the rumor? If management put out the info quietly among the divisions, then okay, case closed, but they should not be deluded into thinking that they've kept everything sacrosanct. The reverse is likely true. But if the rumor was not an authorized disemination of info, then Dell needs to find those ppl and get rid of them. The human element here is entirely different, but I'm not looking at that.
