Very expensive, only the genes of wealthy people would survive. Which is perhaps good because they have obviously developed some traits that are desirable. It eventually would produce a bottleneck of certain genes. Some perhaps lethal and undetectable for generations. The best solution is as many diverse and healthy populations as possible.

With this topic maybe the status quo suits everyone more than we realize.
