I can see your point but I look at it another way. Lets say 10% of the population has an urge to be a kleptomaniac.. However only 3% of the population actually acts upon their urges and steals something. Would you say 10% of the population have a problem with being kleptomaniacs or would you say 3% of the population is. The simple fact is you wouldn't count the 7% who haven't acted upon their urges because they have controlled their urges. Just because you have the urge doesn't mean you can't control it. GW has controled his drinking problem, and it is that control which eliminates his drinking problem. The underlying urge (alcoholism) is still there, but he no longer has a drinking problem as long as he can control his urges.

The other day in a post you said that Bill was born in a disruptive family, thats why he had problems. That is enabling. Bill has been naughty, but it's his parents fault. You should persecute them not Bill.

Twice I was accused of sexual harassment. The people in the company who wanted me to go down used it for all that it was worth. They laughed, made jokes behind my back, gossiped etc. It was the worst experience of my life.....I was humiliated even though I was innocent of the accusations. Eventually my accusers confessed that they lied and I was exonerated; however, the turning point came before that when a woman, the company receptionist, came up to me while I was standing in an area with a lot of other employees around and said in a very loud voice, I know you would never have done what those people are saying....you are too nice, too caring, too good looking and I am sorry you are going thru this. Everyone turned and looked...I was about ready to cry. That woman took the high road...she didn't have to....and it made such a big difference in my life.<<<<<<<<<
Well, I can see the reason for the passion. But I think your anger and compassion are misplaced. When the first sexual harassment laws came into being, there were a lot of crude Bills out there who did harass women. But later once the feminist movement built up steam, a lot of laws and cases went overboard. The movement has gotten so strong, a man doesn't have a chance anymore. But there is a difference between you and Bill. Bill did it; you didn't. And it is the fact that there are Bills out there which allowed the laws to be created, by which the women could falsely accuse you. If we want to rid our society of these biases, we need to rid ourselves of the Bills who do harass women; by asking state troopers to bring up women for blowjobs; or asking secretaries for blowjobs. If we can't control ourselves, how can we expect people to give us the benefit of the doubt. If we can't get rid of the Bills, how can we ever expect to be taken seriously, when we say we didn't do it? Bill did do it, you didn't. There is a difference. The over reaction to the Bills of the world are part of the reason you found yourself in a predicament. Did Monica and Bill engage in consensual sex. yes. But Paula and Rita and Kathleen say no. And it was his lying in the Paula trial, not having sex with Monica that got him in trouble.

Bill was humiliated for Monica, but we shouldn't let his dalliances cover up his other far more serious flaws. Whitewater was a scam; 5 or 6 other people involved in it were sent to prison. Hillary was the lawyer who drew up the papers which scammed the people. How could he possibly not know it was a scam. And as soon as he knew, involved or not, he should have pulled the plug. People with morals do that. Taking money from foreign powers is a form of treason. Renting out gov. property and pocketing the money is theivery. Travelgate involved Hillary firing the post office employees(which was her right) and then sticking the FBI on them, in order to justify the firings. Those people in the post office were put in the same position you were. They were fired and investigated based upon phony charges; all in order to make Hillary look good. Why the sympathy for Hillary, and not the people falsely accused. |
