Jeez! Ayn Rand? Great Mind?
I heard her live once on a call-in radio program. Some pleasant well-meaning working guy called in and asked about her "philosophy" of non-altruistic self-interest, of which he said, "Isn't that just living like an animal?" Instead of honestly affirming that indeed that was what she intended, she got very huffy and naively humanistic, saying, "Well, if we can't keep the discourse at a higher level than this, I will have to leave!"
And now to add, Marilyn Monroe! A great body?
Well, I was never there to find out. I do understand that she peroxided her pubic hair to achive blondom. Used a toothbrush, dipped in peroxide.
I think I will stick with minds and bodies that are within my purview.
For minds I will stick with Aquinas, Spinoza, Montaigne, and a number of others.
For bodies--well a gentleman does not name names. |
