sounds like you are starting to come around. Too bad you still don't see that it wasn't interest rate hikes that broke the economy's back. Rates were just the straw. The market stopped going up so people and business stopped spending with an increasingly neg savings rate. The credit expansion started to slow in terms of growth rate. asset values stopped ballooning across the board. the ipo game hit the dirt. gains from investment started to dry up. start ups stopped starting up on dumb money and stopped burning it on tech. look at the burn rates of start ups over the last couple of years. the tightening of their spending habits and the failure of many hit tech hard. Rates never even got that high.
