JB, given the lack of comunique, no one can say for sure, but given recent consolidation mode (closing of EXBTX, INEXTV channel) it is not a good sign. Another ominous sign: yesterday Soundbreak, a content partner, announced it was shutting down just five days after announcing a revamped business plan, citing among other things that there wasn't enough bandwith to monetize the concept.

While there are clear differences between INEXT and Soundbreak (INEXT syndicating shorts to a select audience; Soundbreak a 24/7 operation targeting the masses) this is another clear sign that making a buck in this biz is going to be very challenging. Seems that the best hope is a patent that creates bandwidth by minimizing use per stream.

Ironic but I had just been starting to feel good about the improved INEXT home page and the deliberate increase in content related to the syndication deals. For example the change of the Wine channel to the Wine and Food channel, though subtly done, opens up a whole new horizon of programming.

Back to the original question: maybe the Chix are simply on vacation. Was hoping they'd do something special for the upcoming Oscars that might attract attention. Probably not.

Enough of the ramble --that's why I don't post too often.

By the way, anyone remember Soundbreak's Mark Goodman fom Philly's WMMR? Quite a pioneer: FM radio, MTV, internet.
