Nortel's woe's could be good for AMD.
Investor's are getting tired of high PE stocks
or no PE stocks such as Nortel and are looking for
value stocks like AMD.
For the last nine months, I've been telling family
and friends to avoid Nortel as being over priced.
I've owned Nortel in the past and found they manipulated
thier earnings. For a while now they have been posting
positive earning but each time there was a one time
charge giving them zero or negative earnings.
It's alright to take one time charges from time to time
but every quarter, no.
The pertinence of this, it has been a very similar situation
at Intel. For quarter after quarter Intel has been using
capital gains to boost their earning (of course every one
on this thread except Paul realizes this).
In my opinion Intel could face the same fate as Nortel
when the capital gains run out. This could be sooner than
later.
Unfortunately, when this happens it will pull down AMD
as well.
If AMD can keep producing good products,AMD will
soar when the economy recovers.
