Yeah. It's been a real thorn for longs since about 1892, hasn't it? 25 years of consecutive dividend growth. Consistent EPS growth in the past 5 years. Average annualized rate of return of 23.59% since 1980. One share purchased pre 1926 has grown into 4,608 shares - plus cash dividends along the way.

It's just never fun getting comfortable with the compounding effect of the long term. <g> Of course, past history is no guarantee of future success, but it all comes down to EPS growth, dividend growth and revenue growth. If management can create all three, then investors will find it quite easy to 'get comfortable' with GE for the long term.
