It strikes me that a number of folks have responded with experience of a personal nature. Does it change your mind or influence you?

Before you answer, I would also like to say the tone of this so far has been more or less civil (though not perfectly so), let's keep it that way, eh boys?

Yet, curiously, nobody here has said they don't believe in any taxes whatsoever (except you, sarcastically. I said specifically that I do not mind paying reasonable taxes). And nobody here has proclaimed themselves a millionaire (including me). And nobody here has come across as an avuncular, cigar chomping, yacht piloting, JP Morgan have they? And yet virtually all participants are against the inheritance tax.

Do you wonder if your sense of perspective is askew, or perhaps that you may be unfairly characterising your audience?

Just curious.
