Don't even try to compare MS with UNIX. Any UNIX person I've talked to are very satisfied.
Well, here's one Unix person who isn't satisfied. I have used all the operating systems: Windows, OS/2, VMS, mainframe, HP MPE/XL, Windows NT, Windows 95 and every flavor of Unix you can imagine (I have ported software to most of them).

Unix has essentially stood still in terms of useability while Windows NT catches up. NT is expanding out of the workgroup down onto the desktop and up into the super-server and mainframe. It has a long way to go to match Unix's high-end scaleability (e.g. Sequent), but it will get there. MS has the money and the patience. Anybody who isn't actively developing for NT today has their head stuck in the sand - all the big players are; good thing Corel is too.
