My view on the Independent Technical Audit.
pre·sump·tu·ous (pr-zmpch-s) adj. Going beyond what is right or proper; excessively forward
It would be presumptuous to totally dismiss the theories of BMD regarding the potential for precious metals as nano-particles or micro-particles in the Athabasca rocks.
o·pin·ion (-pnyn) n.
A belief or conclusion held with confidence but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof: “
Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one, but when they are used in a Independent Technical Audit, without supportive scientific data you know the process is flawed, terribly.
In my opinion (g), if you want to understand the ITA, then you do the following:
1. Take out the paragraphs that have unsubstaintated opinions.
2. Forget the last conclusion as it has no real bearing on the Athabasca or anything that BMD has done concerning what we all understand to be difficult to assay ore. This was metal already put on a table from a conventional source and its only comparison is that its Nano in size.
3. Remember that any reference to our patent and the intellectual properties surrounding such were a pre-agreed upon item not to be discussed, at least that was my understanding, and until such time as its use is decided, it remains a non-issue.
4. Now read the press release and my inserts, and see if you can't make some judgement about this report. Remember that it took about four months (way to long considering the quality of the report), countless man hours and undue stress, not to mention the thousands and thousands of dollars and the huge wound inflicted for no good ethical reason.
Friday February 16, 5:43 pm Eastern Time Press Release SOURCE: Birch Mountain Resources Ltd.
Birch Mountain Resources Ltd. CALGARY, Feb. 16 /CNW/ - Birch Mountain Resources Ltd. (BMD:CDNX) issued a news release on September 27, 2000, which stated that the company had agreed with the Canadian Venture Exchange (CDNX) to an independent technical audit. The CDNX retained Associated Mining Consultants Ltd. (AMCL) of Calgary to conduct the technical audit.
Birch Mountain Resources Ltd. considers the audit process to be flawed and disagrees with a number of the conclusions.
The following are AMCL's conclusions:
All the assay results quoted in the BMD news releases are supported by assay certificates or reports from laboratories. There is no evidence to suggest that any of the samples were tampered with in any manner.
It would be presumptuous to totally dismiss the theories of BMD regarding the potential for precious metals as nano-particles or micro-particles in the Athabasca rocks. However, such work is the domain of research institutions (says who) rather than a junior mining company. If the company is to pursue this high- risk research as its main activity, then this should be made clear to the investing public (it has). AMCL is of the opinion that the current research focus represents a "material change of business" for the Company.
The Canadian Venture Exchange has not reviewed and does not accept responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of this release (In my opinion this is absolutely false).
