Hi Mike:

Glad to hear everyone is all right.

On insurance as much as I used to work for a P&C company I don't have much in the way of advice in dealing with the claims area. I can recommend AMICA and Libery Mutual as two good companies in settling claims (unlike some others).

As long as you have witnesses and a police report you should be ok from the settlement point.

On protection. We'll I still recommend the Volvo from the injury standpoint. Even the new subcompact is highly rated. The Acura line isn't as solid as the Mercedes, BMW or Volvo from the safety perspective (engine performance is a separate issue where honda competes very well with the top european companies). I rate these 3 the highest and I prefer the volvo. I know you had a honda which I would think is around the same level or maybe a step down from the acura.

Again Glad your and everyone is ok

Tim
