How does this prove that this is a good move in that it clarifies in no uncertain terms that the software can be implemented by those currently at the company and that MXR's laser-like focus is on now squarely on financial performance. ?
A technological company with no CTO, come on!

My opinion really changed after I listened to the two conference calls – the biggest problem I found with these were the fact that I did not sense any passion whatsoever in Prufeta’s speech – it seemed as if he was reading from a script written by others.

My concerns in short order:

* BOD seems 100% inactive. BOD-members must contribute either Money or Sales
* There is no revenue generating contracts after all this time. Loyola can not be significant since we have seen no PR
* Pfeil leaving must have been a surprise or there would have been a replacement named – at least a temporary one
* Wellpoint relationship not strong enough for them to exercise options at 30 cents (I would gladly spend $ 300K for 1M shares in Medix)
* Financing is done in a cloak and dagger fashion – boy I wish it was a source/person who could handle the limelight
* What’s Knepper doing? Does not seem to be much M&A going on
* PR: A sad song
* New contracts: can not me material or Stewart would have forced a PR
* Business model: I favor Rambus and I think Medix could explore the same path and be an intellectual property company (licensing the UI)

I’d love to be wrong and have a serious Investor (Wellpoint exercising or “major Financial Institution”) step to the plate and give MXR the much need funds ($ 16M for b/e by end 2002 according to JP) or for any pilot to move into production on a serious scale or (even better) large licensing deals (inside or outside the healthcare sector) of the UI.

Until I see concrete evidence of solid progress I remain skeptical. This is only my opinion and no one needs to agree with me. I would welcome any and all arguments to the contrary of mine but will not put any weight anymore on rumors.
