"Service Pack 2: A (Slightly) Better Win2K

It's almost here! Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 is shaping up to be a
worthy successor to the original Service Pack 1. It will be useful if
you're using Professional and probably required if you're running DNS
services. The short version: When it ships, get it; you probably won't
regret it.

SP2 isn't available yet. I expect to se this ship by the end of March.
It's been in semi-public beta since last December, actually -- but I
received a breakdown of what will appear in the fix from a beta-tester.
For starters, it's a pretty broad-ranging collection of things, an
aggregate of all the fixes that Microsoft has put out for Windows 2000
since Service Pack 1."
