Metricom is Ricochet - which is wireless internet via an antenna you hook to your laptop. It's microwave which is line of sight so they need towers, and are concentrating on large metro areas. I have read a lot of good things about the technology, but don't know anyone who has ever used it. The last time I took a look at the financials my observation was that they were spending a lot of money building out the service. Price to book appears to be .5 - - that is interesting.
