Jeff Roberts--No, the communists didn't "break up" large landholdings, they nationalized them, the difference which may be a little hard for YOU to comprehend. What we're seeing in farm country right now is very much akin to what DID happen in the Soviet Union, and that is to have the land worked by a class of people who have no economic interest in it (read: hired hands). And that is PRECISELY why I support breaking large land-holdings up when rich landholders die--it usually returns the land to family farmers, often beginning ones... _______________________ ---desirable for large landholdings to be broken up I am sure that you can't comprehend this but that is what the communist's did. Didn't work by the way.
