Without spending inordinate amounts of time analyzing how I perceive things, my quick take on the current situation is that things do change but not as quickly as some believe and not as slowly as others wish.

Sound reasoned debate, augmented with evidence, will change minds, even mine: It's just a slow process. I'll continue to monitor things.

I welcome opinions which differ from mine. Unfortunately, I also have the all too human propensity to dismiss them if they are presented annoyingly.

You have presented your reasoning in a clear and logical manner. I'm just simply not ready to adopt them.
