here are two very good win2000 forums for you to peruse for possible solutions. i have posted to both of these sites myself, and have gotten the best responses from the cantekusa forum (first one below)

the second site (win2000mag forum) actually appears to have more diverse topics and answers.

i'll keep my eye out for something that looks pertinent.

patrick, have you been through the win2000 troubleshooters under 'help'? it's good to at least eliminate some of these steps, if not actually find the needed answer right there!
