I don't know that I would disagree with that as a rule. I also don't think it is much of a problem at this point. My point is the people carrying in your city are doing so illegally already so what are more laws going to accomplish?

That line says it all about your thinking. You want me as a law abiding citizen to register my guns with the government and to declare what I am going to use them for. For what purpose? What is registration going to solve? Will this stop law breakers from using illegally acquired guns for crime?

It will not accomplish anything, will only be complied with by law abiding citizens, and would turn me into a law breaker I guess. Look at Canada's registration system that they have set up. Turned half their country into criminals because the rural Canadian's have told the government to stick it by not registering.

Bad thought process IMO.
