Tim Re..I think drunk driving laws should be pretty strict, esp. for repeat offenders, but I'm not so sure the .08 BAC laws are a good idea. I think at .08 there is some impairment but most drunk driving accidents are caused by drivers with a lot more alcohol then that.<<<<<<

I agree fully with that in that I feel .1 is restrictive enough. I would also like to say that the drinking age , for beer any way, should be lowered to 18. To expect the young adults to wait till they are 21 is ridiculous. The police can't stop beer any more than they can stop drugs. And to drive the teenagers from bars into private parties complete with drugs and bedrooms, has just made drugs and sex more prevalent. You can't stop teenagers from getting into mischief and from having fun. We should make it easier to have fun in the open, and quit stigmatizing them as drunkards for having a drink before they are 21. At least in a bar, kids can meet people of the opposite sex and decide whether they like each other before they are within 10 ft of a bedroom. There the peer pressure isn't so great.
