While perhaps not being as blunt as you, I agree with your perception that this thread as a whole does not welcome "newcomers" too well. Clique is definitely the term that comes to mind. And I think it would be very useful to have a constant inflow of fresh ideas and perspectives going forward.

In many, many acquisitions there is a culture clash and the management from the acquired company stays around about as long as Russell et al. I have been through 2 acquisitions myself, and I think it's the rule rather than the exception. If GNET were still around, I suspect it would be trading for little more than cash value in today's market environment. There have been a number of companies in that situation -- for example ALLR, who recently got swallowed up by Macromedia. If Russ et al didn't sell to INSP, then they would have been bought by someone else for the same current value that the INSP shares represent.

So even if we stacked up all the GNETer "if only's", "coulda's", "shoulda's", and "woulda's" into a pile, it would not reach a height greater than current pile of INSP shares. IMO.

I've got no problem with shorters on the thread. But I think that in their own best interests, some of the GNET longs either have to "get over it" or pack up and move on to other investments.
