Bombardier Sells CRJ200 Regional Jets to China Yunnan
Airlines

TORONTO, ONTARIO--FEBRUARY 19, 2001 - 11:01 EST
Bombardier Aerospace has confirmed today China
Yunnan Airlines of Kunming, People's Republic of China, has placed
a firm order for eight 50-seat CRJ200(TM) Series regional jets.

The contract is valued at an estimated U.S.$184 million (Cdn.$280
million). Deliveries are scheduled between Oct. 2001 and Dec.
2002.

Bombardier announced the sale Friday during a Team Canada trade
delegation visit to China of senior Canadian political leaders and
business executives, including Robert E. Brown, president and
chief executive officer of Bombardier Inc.

Including the four Challenger(R) 604 with Shandong Airlines
Rainbow Jet Co. Ltd. awarded in Beijing, total Bombardier sale
during the Team Canada trade mission amount to US$238 million
(Cdn.$360 million). This sale reinforces Bombardier's leadership
position in China's rapidly growing regional aircraft market with
a total of 25 regional aircraft ordered and to be delivered across
six airlines.

"We are delighted that more and more Chinese airlines are
selecting our products to meet their requirements," said Mr.
Brown. "We have been aggressive in promoting our regional jet and
turboprop aircraft in China, one of the world's fastest growing
markets, and we are gratified that Chinese airlines recognize
their economies, efficiencies and reliability," he said.

Currently, 14 Bombardier regional aircraft products are in service
in China - nine CRJ200 and five Dash 8(R) Q Series turboprop
airliners including two new 70-seat Q400(TM) models delivered late
last year.

The airline, established in 1992, operates both domestic and
international routes with a fleet of 20 737 and 767 aircraft.
