I guess you AMDroids expect Microsoft will instead deliver Windows 64 for the SludgePumper first?

I don't think AMD version will be first. I am not even sure that Whistler will suport AMD x86-64, but Whistler 64 will be suck, as all Version 1s do. The real arrival of 64 bit Windows OS will be Balckcomb, my guess in 2H 2002, and AMD x86-64 will be supported right out of the box.

I think AMD is just going to get lucky with this timing.
