"rather than mess with it, I opted to not create a new file association and leave well enough alone"

hmmmmmm

well maybe something is broke and we don't know it.

what i did was recreate the original .vbs file association. za changed it to something else.

if you follow the final steps in the 'trick the worm' instructions, and try opening a vbs file on your system, and if you end up with an 'open with' dialog.... that seems like za isn't doing its job. za changed the extension name to ZLO, but who's gonna send you a ZLO file? see what i mean?

and the default action (with the zlo files) is still listed as 'open', whereas if you make this change, the default is 'edit', and the vbs file never executes the script.

all imho, of course

:)
