I think Kash mentioned this about a year ago. He thinks Intel would do a lot better by merging with a few big players instead of snatching up a lot of little guys. I don't know; I feel Intel needs several more years before most of the acquisitions start to prove themselves

The question is if these companies' products are not state of the art at the time they are acquired, why is a few more years "to prove themselves" going to make a difference?
