Yes, he did get loose. The break was a little ragged for a number of horses and I think that helped him. On the flip, side he was coming out of race where he was part of an insane duel. He last race was much better than it looked. If you still have the FOY Racing Form, take a look at a few of the other horses from the FOY that came out of the same race as Songandaprayer. The top finishers all came from way back in the pack and the fractions were real quick. I don't like him for the Derby or anything, but I think SONg.. was a bit of an overlay in the FOY albeit lucky too.
