Darn, even Geoff is starting to sound like a market timer or an analyst, and not a very original one.

As I recall, the first time we learned about Geoff's investments was in 1999. At that time he did not have any individual stock holdings. I think he might have had his money in a money market fund or an index fund or something like that, but certainly he was not making money on the Gorillas as they ran in 1999. We assumed this was to avoid conflicts of interest, but perhaps it was a timing choice.

Later, in 2000 we learned that Geoff was making individual stock investments, and he seemed to be mixing his funds among Gorillas, Kings and lesser lights. Perhaps he got in just as the market was peaking.

Now in 2001 with the Nas cut in half he is getting out and going to cash, proving once again that...

...it is a hell of a lot easier to make money writing about the stock market than it is making money in the stock market.
