I think the drunk driving laws have gotten too severe, in that the kids should be allowed to go out and have some fun.

I see.....getting drunk, then driving drunk, then hitting another car or person is good clean fun for the kids.

Man, you would get along famously with this woman here in WA. She was opposed to the AA program, and started a new program whereby people who might have a drinking problem were not required to abstain from alcohol but rather control their drinking into moderation. As you can imagine, the program was becoming very popular until one night about a year ago. That's the nite this woman killed a father and his kid while driving drunk.

If you are interested, I will get you her name.....she's locked up somewhere in one of the state's prisons. I am sure she would be glad to get a new penpal that thinks a lot like her.

Plus, there are worse drugs out there besides alcohol. While I realize this would cause some highway deaths , the cost might be worth it when you consider the amount of kids turning to other drugs to have some fun.

The intent of alcohol and drug laws re driving is to reduce the number of vehicle accidents and deaths. How can you give the amusement of teenagers the same priority?
