Re: Micron's DDR machine is available with "Windows 2000 Pro", for $99 extra, as to what the difference is between that and "Windows 2000" ...

Windows 2000 is available in 3 versions; Windows 2000 Pro, Windows 2000 Server, and Windows 2000 Advanced server. The main differences between the versions are the utilities bundled with each and, more important, the usage rights granted under each license. The code for all 3 versions is identical from the perspective of hardware compatibility.

More to the point, anyone can go to microsoft.com and see that the DDR Millenia Max XP is certified for Windows 2000 by Microsoft.

Dan
