Thanks for your encouraging words.

Emboldened by them, I'm confessing this:

Assuming Norton Pro is very close to Norton standard you should run Cleansweep on a regular basis. Just click on
Cleanup and then Fast and Safe Cleanup and you'll be surprised how many megs of junk gets cleaned up. I run it daily
and usually get rid of from 20 to 50. Under the settings button you can click on each type of file to be cleaned and a
description will be displayed in the lower section.

Under Internet you have other options you can look at such as Cookie Cleanup, Internet Cache Cleanup, etc. You can run
them individually but Fast and Safe Cleanup handles them all with one swoop.

So I went to NSW. I clicked on CleanSweep Internet Sweep. The total message shown said "There were no ActiveX controls monitored during this session... OK"

Next I clicked on CleanSweep Smart Sweep:--

Current log file was created:

Number of installations logged:

Shut down SmartSweep/Internet Sweep
(Restart it with CleanSweep Options.)

Specify program names which SmartSweep
recognizes as install programs

View or delete Smartsweep logs.

Maybe that means I should shut down SmartSweep/Internet Sweep and Restart it with CleanSweep Options? I have no idea, really.

I can't do that in any case because I have no faith whatever that i'll be able to "restart" anything with any options, or get back to the original!

There is nothing anywhere that I can find called "fast and safe cleanup," but it sure does sound like just the thing!
