Well stated JAPG.

I would add that while there is now a race on to build out the wireless internet infrastructure, every passing day is another nail in the coffin of CDMA. If, two years from now you're an SP that's going to build a new network, you'll look at all the technologies available and as always you would select the type of build that scales and is cost-effective. IMO, that network will be OFDM-based as the existing networks ("fixed wireless" variations) will show off OFDM's scale and robustness while the leading edge companies will fill out OFDM's capability set, including mobility and roadside access.

The markets' discounting mechanism tells us that 3g is in a lot of trouble. That means more passing days without any 3g build. The clock is ticking...
